508 Compliance

Fortinet security appliances are typically deployed in secured computer equipment rooms or other secured areas suitable for electronic equipment. That is, Fortinet appliances are “located in spaces frequented only by service personnel for maintenance, repair, or occasional monitoring of equipment”, and as such are not governed by the Section 508 Amendment to the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Even though Fortinet’s appliances are excepted, Fortinet has integrated a Command-Line Interface (CLI) within its appliances, making this exception unnecessary.

Security virtualization rapidly became the answer to our needs and only Fortinet could offer to virtualize all the essential security functions on a single platform that would scale to thousands of users. On top of the strong performance and flexibility of Fortinet's appliances, we were impressed with Fortinet's management and reporting tools, which will allow us to provide a unique Web interface to our customers so that they have easy control and visibility over their security service.
